Mom's grave marker was finally installed last week and it looks really good. And I was going to the right place each time I have visited the cemetery! I was so afraid I was going to the wrong grave w/o the marker being there, but I wasn't. :)
For those of you who would like to visit mom's grave but didn't go to the internment, I can guide you to where her grave is. If you enter from the Windy Hill side of the cemetery (mom's cemetery is at the corner of 41 and Windy Hill) her grave is a little ways down the road on the left. You will see a grouping of flags and her grave is just to the left of those. Also, you will see a granite bench with the name Jackson on it. Her grave is just to the right of that. So she is between the flags and the Jackson bench. That's the best way to describe it.
Also, we ran into a snag with Bailey. The man who took her absolutely loves her, but his son who lives with him is allergic. We thought we were going to have to take her back, but the son decided that his dad loves the cat too much to take her away from him so he is just going to tough it out. :) Thank goodness! I really was afraid I was going to have to take her to the pound!
I'm going to mom's house this weekend to do some cleaning and straightening up. Jason left it a mess when he moved out!
As always, I am still trying to raise money in mom's memory to fight lymphoma and other blood cancers. Please help me get to my goal of $10,000!! I am super close now! I have about $9700!!!! Go to this link to donate online:
