Mom's grave marker was finally installed last week and it looks really good. And I was going to the right place each time I have visited the cemetery! I was so afraid I was going to the wrong grave w/o the marker being there, but I wasn't. :)
For those of you who would like to visit mom's grave but didn't go to the internment, I can guide you to where her grave is. If you enter from the Windy Hill side of the cemetery (mom's cemetery is at the corner of 41 and Windy Hill) her grave is a little ways down the road on the left. You will see a grouping of flags and her grave is just to the left of those. Also, you will see a granite bench with the name Jackson on it. Her grave is just to the right of that. So she is between the flags and the Jackson bench. That's the best way to describe it.
Also, we ran into a snag with Bailey. The man who took her absolutely loves her, but his son who lives with him is allergic. We thought we were going to have to take her back, but the son decided that his dad loves the cat too much to take her away from him so he is just going to tough it out. :) Thank goodness! I really was afraid I was going to have to take her to the pound!
I'm going to mom's house this weekend to do some cleaning and straightening up. Jason left it a mess when he moved out!
As always, I am still trying to raise money in mom's memory to fight lymphoma and other blood cancers. Please help me get to my goal of $10,000!! I am super close now! I have about $9700!!!! Go to this link to donate online:

Bailey Update and LLS Info
Hey everyone.
Just wanted to let you know that we found a home for Bailey. She will be living with an older gentleman who has Altzheimers and loves cats. He needs something to take care of. Don't worry, his son lives with him so she will be in good hands. This is really the perfect situation for her because she will have a buddy that stays home with her all day!
Also, I am so close to raising $10,000 in Mom's memory for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society's Light the Night Walk for blood cancer research. Please if you havent yet, follow this link and make a donation. no amount is too small!! Thanks!

Bailey STILL
We still have not placed Bailey and Jason has officially moved out of the house. So now it's Bailey's house I guess! I am going over there every couple of days to feed her and make sure she has water but other than that, she doesn't have any company. Please help me place her. Even if you don't want her, ask your friends. There must be someone out there who could use a new friend! She is spayed and is 9 years old. She is still very active and enjoys going outside and exploring for a few hours every once in awhile. Other than that, she just loves to sleep! She is very easy to take care of. If she was declawed and inside only, I would take her myself but since she isn't and my cats are declawed, she'd kick their butts and fights wouldn't be fair, even if they were simply playing together. If you need to go out of town for the weekend, you can just place an extra large bowl of food and water out and she will be fine on her own. It doesn't get any easier than that!
Here are some pics of her. Mom loved this cat. She was my cat but when I went away to college Bailey gravitated to mom and was never really my cat again! She has a funny since of humor and recently became friends with Jason's dog. :)

Thanks for your help!
