November 21st

Sorry so long!!!!! I've been so busy with work and the holidays..... But I thought I'd give the page a facelift of sorts. Maybe give it a little Thanksgiving-esque feel.

Anyways, mom is doing well. The chemo went fine and she didn't get sick from it at all. We were trying to see if she could come home with us for Thanksgiving, just for a few hours, but for insurance and liability reasons, we aren't going to. Also, if she's well enough to leave, then she should be able to check out of the hospital for good and she just isn't quite there yet. But we're working on it!

Her appetite has improved somewhat, as long as it isn't the food they've got there! So anything you think she may like, feel free to bring it by.

The account is up and running at Regions and you can just ask for the account that has mine and Pat's name on it for the benefit of Krista Cadenhead. I'll try and get the last 4 digits of the account and that should help them figure out which one it is.

Not much to report other than that. Please remember to leave comments. She loves to hear that people have been reading up about her. :) Just click the comments link below, type your message and then select the "other" button when it asks for sign in information. That way, you don't have to have an account to leave a message. You can just type in your name and be done with it.

Thanks for checking in.

~Lindsey

Krista, Hembree and I always check the nice updates Lindsey leaves. We are constantly remembering you in prayer. This Thanksgiving you are one of the many folks we are thankful for. We will be in Charlotte enjoying two of the grands! Love, Betty

Lindsey, tell your mom that it was wonderful to visit with her last Fri. It was like old times laughing and talking and catching her up on the latest CFC news! Your grandparents are the best! When we left, Kathy said that it must be great to have a dad like Krista's dad... I said yeah, and her mom is just as special, and the rest of the family too. y'all are richly blessed to have each other. May the good Lord continue to give you grace and His strength for each day

Krista,
You might not remember me but that doesn't matter. We were in choir together and I hung around w/ Leon, Evans, AC and a few other ner-do-wells. I am married to the former Susie Fitton from Belhaven.

Enough about me. I recently learned about what you are going through from Kathy Stewart and I just want you to know you are in my daily prayers and I have several others around the office praying for you.

I like the facelift, it looks great! I love the picture of you and your mom, that is so sweet! I check up on your blog all the time, I love that you take the time to keep everyone informed. I know everyone wishes Krista could be home for the holiday, but there's always Christmas! Happy Thanksgiving!

Krista,

I am so glad to read that your chemo went well and that your are getting stronger, and eating more!!
Know that you are daily in my prayers. We miss you TERRIBLY in choir, and the piece you bugged Jim to get and have us sing is so beautiful it makes me cry every time we practice it - or it could be that we just don't sound right without you, and that's what's making me cry!

Take care,

Lee
