They moved mom into a regular hospital room yesterday and took her out of the rehab program because her white cell count is extremely low. It's a side effect of the chemo. In fact, now, when we go to see her, we have to put on gowns, masks and gloves just to keep her from getting sick. Since she's so vulnerable, we've decided to restrict her visitors to family only, just until she gets out of this crucial point.
Other than the low white cell count, she seems to be doing well. The burns are still very tender, but healing nonetheless.
